Department of research and development
This office is responsible for organizing, embedding and operating the training activities, researching in the fields related to food & drug in order to improve the public health and providing the necessary information to the target groups including health professionals, food &drug industries and the people. The main responsibilities of this office include: • Organizing research strategies in the units affiliated to the deputy of food & drug in order to increase the efficacy • Embedding, encouraging and persuading the experts in order to apply their research experiences along with their executive research responsibilities. • Presenting the strategic plans and the research, executive and the supervisory priorities of the Food & drug Deputy. • Communicating with the universities, research centers and the industries and doing the mutual activities with them in order to organize the applicable researches in the field of food & drug. • Starting up the drug and poisoning information center in order to provide the target groups with fresh information. • Rationalizing the use of drugs. • Providing the required food & drug references. • Analyzing the statistical data in order to detect the probable mistakes of the system. • Creating new systems proportional to the last technologies related to the organizational goals. • Clarifying and updating the international and local standards of food & drug. • The affiliated units of this office include educational and research unit, drug and poisoning information center (DPIC) unit, rational use of drug (RUD) committee and adverse drug reactions (ADR) unit.
