Major duties of this unit are as below:
1. Technical affairs

• Related factories & Institutes
• Response to  Industrial & Mines Ministry  (by sending experts to the mentioned place for establishing the factory)
• Issuance of establishment license (After assessment in commission)
• Issuance of exploitation license (After assessment in commission)
• Sending the documents for issuance or correction of manufacturing license to FDO
• Prolongation of manufacturing license
• Issuance of technical manager certificate

2. Controlling Affair 
A .Factories:

• Inspection of factories for controlling GMP
• Sampling of products for sending to control laboratory             

B .Importing companies:

• Controlling & Inspection of the inter pot  & assessment of good storage condition
•  Controlling the labeling process
• Handling the complaints from the companies about the initiated goods
• Destroying the expired , illegal ,… products according to received letters from FDO

C .Shopping centers:

• Controlling the shopping centers
• Controlling the labeling of imported goods
• Collecting & banning of the illegal & smuggled goods
• Sampling from the shopping centers & sending the samples to the laboratory for adjusting to related license
